Medical Personnel
 According to the book "WASHINGTON'S PART in the WORLD WAR" (page 13)
"Sixty seven members of the profession went out from Washington County at the call of their country,
and twenty three others were members of the Volunteer Medical Corps"

The Roll of Honor of the 'Pennsylvania State Medical Society reported  "..... the highest percentage of
medical men in the Army and Navy of any county in the state of Pennsylvania".
