Loretta Dixon Fleming
The second child of Ed and Sallie Dixon was a daughter, Loretta, born 11
August 1914 at Trenton, Dade County, Georgia. On 21 April 1944, she
married George Fleming at Jenkins, Letcher County, Kentucky. George
was born 20 April 1913 in Wilder, Virginia to Hilbert Fleming and Bessie
Street. George was a coal miner and he and Loretta and their family
attended the Baptist Church.
George was previously married to Mildred Hale with whom he had two
sons, George and Charles. .
The oldest child of George and Loretta is Charles Edmond born 24 July
1932 in Jenkins, Letcher County, Kentucky. In February 1955, he married
Nancy JoAnn Daniels in Lawrence, Hancock County, Indiana.
Nancy JoAnn Daniels is the daughter of Dallas Daniels and the former
Edna Mae Dixon. She was born 21 February 1936 at Jenkins, Letcher
County, Kentucky.
Their first child is Nancy Charlene, born 22 October 1955 in Limestone,
Aroostock County, Maine. Nancy married Robert Mount 2 October 1977,
at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. They had two daughters, Carissa,
born 10 April 1979 and Natalie, born 19 July 1981, both in Dayton, Ohio.
In November 1986, Nancy Charlene married a Kuwait, Imad Ahou Chachine
at Beaver Creek, Green County, Ohio. They have two daughters: Imira,
born 15 July 1989 in Kuwait City, Kuwait and Noor, born 30 May 1990 at
Columbus, Ohio. The second child of Charles and Nancy Joann is a
daughter, Kathy Renee, born 14 October 1956 in Jenkins, Letcher County,
Kentucky. She married Charles Phillabaum 30 December 1979 at Beaver
Creek, Green County, Ohio. Charles "Chuck" was born 7 July 1956 in
Dayton to Gail Leroy

worker. Kathy is an office manager and they attend the Baptist Church.
Kathy and Chuck have two daughters, Stephanie Renee, born 19 September
1981 and Lindsey Ann, born 7 June 1983, both in Kettering, Montgomery
county, Ohio. Charles Alan, a son, is the third child of Charles and Nancy
Fleming. He was born 12 January 1963 at Greenville, Greenville County,
South Carolina. He married Leann Green, 4 November 1983 at
Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida. Charles is a four-year veteran of the
U.S. Navy and is a steam engineer. Leann was born 13 October 1959 in
Miami, Dade County, Florida to Edward John Green and Jerrilu Bussard.
She first married Michael I. Talb and they had a daughter, Aubrey Cecile,
born 14 November 1980 in Jacksonville. Upon their marriage, Charles
Alan Fleming adopted Aubrey. Charles and Leann also have a son,
Christopher Charles, born 13 November 1986 in Jacksonville.
The second child of George and Loretta is George Alfred, born 31
January 1934 at Jenkins, Letcher County, Kentucky. On 15 January 1955,
he married Ruby Thacker at Clintwood, Dickinson County, Virginia. Alfred
is a career autoworker in Detroit, Michigan, and the Akron, Ohio area.
He spent 3 years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Ruby was born
12 April 1931 in Pikeville, Pike County, Kentucky to Robert Thacker and
the former Annie Atkins. They have five children and three grandchildren
located in the greater Akron, Ohio area. Their first child. Is a son,
Jerald Michael, born 21 March 1957 in Akron, Summit County, Ohio. In
December 1984, he married Sue Tausley and they have two children;
Jerald Michael Jr., born 4 February 1989 and Galey, born in January
1992, both in Akron. The second child of Alfred and Ruby is David Keith,
born 14 March 1958 in Pikeville, Pike County, Kentucky. . On 4 May 1991,
he married Debbie Woods in Akron. George Alfred III is the third child
of Alfred and Ruby, born 9 March 1959 at Akron. The fourth child of
Alfred and Ruby is a daughter, Shelia Karen, born 27 September 1960 in
Akron. On 20 October 1990, she married David Figler in Akron and they
nave a son, Johnny, born 13 March 1991 in Akron. Alfred and Rudy’s fifth
child is a son, Jamie Edwin, born 12 March 1962 in Akron. On 7
September 1991, he married Kathy Cabillia in Akron. The youngest child of
George and Loretta is a daughter, Shirley, born 28 June 1937 at
Clintwood, Dickinson County, Virginia. On July 1958, she married Gene
Hughes at Clintwood, Virginia. Gene is a produce manager and Shirley
works for IBM in Manassas, Virginia. Their children are: Ricky, born 5
December 1959 at Jenkins, Kentucky: Randy, born 6 July 1962 at
Alexandria, Virginia and Janson, born 27 November 1974 at Manassas,
Virginia. Randy married Bridget and they have three children: Anthony
Scott, born 14 June 1984; Erica Dawn, born 11 September 1986 and
William Matthew, born 8 June 1988.
George Fleming died 15 February 1982 at Pikeville, Pike County, Kentucky
and was buried a few days later at Ermine, Kentucky. Loretta (Dixon)
Fleming died 6 May 1986 at Manassas, Virginia and was buried next to
George in Ermine, Kentucky.
