Below you will find an Excerpt from a letter written by Cope Family
Researcher, Mike Fromholt of Indiana. I am trying to track down the Sanders or
Cope Family who raised my gg grandfather, Wm L Sanders of Tracy City
Tennessee and the following is Mike's response to my inquiry. Alma Harings

Dear Alma
.........About WIlliam Lafayette Sanders and George Mack Cope.
Seems I've been trying to find stuff on George since day one, he went by the
name of Mack. He's not on any census records after his first marraige to Mary
Gilley, who was a good ten years his senior, as she was also a widow of a
Powell (Probably Jerome), then he was found on hte 1910 census, marrried to
a Elizabeth, who was fourten years younger than he. They had only been
married for ten years, and there was a child named Calvin, but his age was
listed as fourteen. And of course, there's his death records from Grundy
County, which says his parents, in 1915, and he was buried in Orange Hill
Cemetery. No marker can be found.
So, he possibly could have raised William Lafayette. He would make more
sense as any of the otehrs, since I have seen the earlier census records of the
others. Wo was living near William on hte 1900 census? That may hold a clue.
Will check and see when I get soem time and once doine digging outr from our
snowfall, may be a few weeks, as we're going to Michigan and enjoy an indoor
pool for the weekend next week, and going to Dayton the following weekend.
happy huntin'
