Date of Death approximation Source (1891) for Tennessee Childers
According to Miltons statement found on his confederate pension application
[1906], his wife had been dead for 15 years. His first wife Salina Patton Cope
passed away in 1871 just a few months after giving birth to my great
grandfather, William Lafayette Sanders.
Milton married his second wife Tennessee Childers on 07 Jan 1883 and their
only child Sidney J. Sanders was born in 1884. After Tennessee's death (abt
1891) Milton remained a widower until his death after June of 1911 at the age
of 75.

Place: Clouse Hill Cemetery
- Notes:
-
According to my Sanders Family cousin, Mike Morgan of Grundy County TN
(<nicedeafguy81@yahoo.com>) , my gg gm Salina Cope-Sanders is buried
in Clouse Hill Cemetery in an unmarked grave next to her husband ( & my gg
gf) Milton Porter Sanders. Mike obtained this information from William Turner a
Grundy County TN Historical Researcher of many years. It is also believed
that Miltons second wife, Tennessee is buried beside Milton as well.
According to Chuck Sherrill's publication, Tombstone Inscriptions of Grundy
County TN, Clouse Hill Cemetery is located about seven miles east of
Coalmont near the Clouse Hill mining area.
