Sarah Margaret Johnson was the first wife of Timothy Olorenshaw.  She was born 15th April 1828 in Bedford, Bedford, England to David Johnson and Elizabeth Mortimer.  Sarah Margaret was Christened 15th June 1828 in Saint Cuthbert, Bedford, Bedford, England.  Sarah's christening record says that her father, David, was a laborer.  We do not know much about Sarah Margaret's life.  We do know that she married Timothy Olorenshaw on the 7th March 1848 in the Saint Cuthbert Parish, Bedford, Bedford, England.

Shortly after Timothy and Sarah Margaret were married they had their first child, Emma Elizabeth Ann.  We have not been able to find a birth record for Elizabeth yet, but, we have a burial record for her 2 years after she was born.  Emma Elizabeth Ann was buried on 12 August 1850 at the Saint Paul Parish, Bedford, Bedford, England.

There is a period of 5 years before the birth of Timothy Olorenshaw born in 1855.  Previous family records had Timothy born to his father's second wife, Sarah Nichols.  A Certified Copy Of An Entry of Birth from the General Register's Office in England verifies that the mother is Sarah Olorenshaw formerly Johnson, first wife of Timothy Olorenshaw, not Timothy's second wife, Sarah Nichols.

After Timothy was born in 1855 there were two more daughters born, Elizabeth and Jane Mary Olorenshaw.  Family records have Elizabeth being born 13 March 1857 in Coventry, Warwick, England.  NO birth record has been found on her.  The next daughter, Jane Mary was born 18 April 1859 in Coventry, Warwick, England and died the same day.  No birth or death record have been found for her.  We can't help but wonder if these two girls were the daughters of Sarah Margaret Johnson not Sarah Nichols.
