Mary Ann Smith on 15 June 1894 married a William Greig. They first lived at Pitrinnie Mill, Fordoun and had three children: Jack, Mary and Bella.
By 1923, the Greigs had moved to Mill of Benholm, Johnshaven, where A.D.S. Smith camped in July that year “in Uncle Greig’s field”. It seems that as well as running the mill, William Greig also kept livestock, as a picture of Uncle Greig’s boar can be found in ADS Smith’s scrapbook.
Mary Ann and William Greig are shown below in later life.
